Purpose¶
Enables management to understand whether the organization can meet its immediate financial obligations and to anticipate funding gaps.

Positive cash balance sufficient to cover at least one operating cycle of committed obligations.
Thresholds¶
critical: Cash balance insufficient to cover upcoming committed payments
warning: Cash balance trending down for two consecutive periods
target: Positive cash flow with a stable or growing cash balance
