Definition¶
The level of risk that a project will fail to deliver its planned scope on schedule and within budget, based on progress, blockers, and schedule variance.
Purpose¶
Provides early warning of initiatives likely to slip so that capacity, dependency, and complexity issues can be addressed before they cause delay.
Thresholds¶
critical: Schedule variance and blocked task count both indicate a high risk of slippage
warning: Either schedule variance or blocked task count indicates elevated risk
target: Project tracking to plan with no material blockers
