Definition¶
The proportion of sessions on an organization website that were engaged, as defined by Google Analytics 4: lasting longer than 10 seconds, including a key event, or including two or more page or screen views.
Description¶
Website engagement rate is GA4's own engagement measure and is not comparable to sales.engagement_rate, which measures social media interaction relative to reach. The two must never be blended into a single cross-channel "engagement rate".
